Hey, love, welcome back to the fruit for Mama Podcast. Today, I want to share with you some of the things that I have learned in the past few months. And, you know, the beauty about you hanging out with me is that I am somebody who I invest heavily in my growth, my spiritual growth, my knowledge in business, like I always want to learn, I never ever, ever stop learning, you can always find me taking a course you can always find me in a mastermind, you can always find me doing some sort of group coaching, because that is what I’m into. I am a lifelong learner and I love what I do for a living. And I always want to learn more. And the more I learn, the more I get to share with you. So today, I want to share with you a little bit of my journey because I opened up a new business. And I’m excited to share that with you. And some of the shifts that I made that have allowed me to scale the business super quickly.
So a little bit of a background. So I started off on Amazon 2018 2020. I started my Etsy shop and I also started coaching around 2020 as well. So in 2020, when I launched, this podcast used to be called the beginner mob boss. And that’s when I launched and I started a coaching business with along with the podcast, and I had courses or I still have courses, but you know, that was a business that I started in, you can hear that was my third business, and I love all of our businesses, all of my business are alive and well and I love them. And honestly, I am a serial entrepreneur, I love what I do.
And I love creating business and my mind never stops. I am always creating businesses in my head, I really am all the time, if not, not just for me, but for other people too because that is my zone of genius I can look at somebody will not look at somebody, but I can, you know, talk to somebody and get to know them and kind of guide them into a path that will fulfill them and allow them to make money and impact and all the things that they want to have. So back sometime late last year, around November, probably around November, I started thinking about this podcast when you’re listening to and the growth that I’ve had and the ease of which I started this business with like I seriously started podcasting. And within like a few weeks, I got a client and it all kind of started from there. And it was like the easiest business I had started to date. And because of the success I had with the podcasts, I really started thinking about it like how awesome it is that I got to, you know, 99% of the time, I was in my pajamas talking to you, coming to you from my heart and adding value to your life and helping you grow your business while growing my business and it was so easy.
And you know, I never really worried about traditional launches, if you’re in this online space, you know that there are launches that people do, where they’re selling courses and things like that. Everything always happened organically within my podcast, and my podcast has grown immensely. It has always grown but like I cannot even believe the amount of downloads, I think we’re like close to 100,000 downloads. And it’s all organic growth. I have never paid ads, I have never done anything outside of just me showing up on this podcast and giving you massive value in order for me to grow this podcast and this business, this coaching business that came along with this podcast. So with all of that being said, I started a podcast production agency back in November. And honestly, the minute I said I was going to start it. I got clients. And it was even though this coaching business was the easiest business that I had built to date, the podcast ages, agency business was the easiest one ever because I just said I’m going to start this because I know what it takes to grow a very successful podcast. I know how to monetize it very quickly. I know I know what to do. I know what it takes.
I know all the strategies to grow a very profitable podcast now. Don’t get me wrong, I had to battle a little bit of imposter syndrome because, you know, it just is what it is like we’re humans. And I thought to myself like Am I really qualified for this to manage other people’s podcasts and do all of that. And I had to have a heart. I had to have a heart to heart with myself because, yes, I have my very own successful podcast. I have invested heavily into courses and coaching and coaches to help me grow this podcast. So I know what I’m talking about. And not only that I have years of experience in online marketing in this online space. I know what it takes. So all this to say is that, you know, I said I was going to start a podcast agency and I did and like I just got clients I started getting clients and I still am getting clients and I’m telling you this story because, Mama, if you put your mind to it, and you’re like, I’m going to do this thing, you’re going to be unstoppable.
And mind you, like I said, I had my moments of doubts, you know, I had the moments of like, oh my god, I should already do this. And ultimately, I’m so glad that I got over myself, and I listened to my heart because I have to remember, your brain’s job is to keep you safe. And when you step out into something new, and you’re putting yourself out there, and you’re quote, unquote, risking yourself, like your brain does not like that it’s going to do everything you can to keep you safe. And it’s just a defense mechanism. It’s how we have stayed alive. It’s how the human species exists. And it is what it is, however, we can allow ourselves to stay there we have to at that moment where the fear comes, we have to tell ourselves, what is true right now? Is it true that I am a successful podcaster? Did it know what it takes to grow podcasts that I have been in business in design space since 2018? That I know my, you know shit, I don’t I don’t want to curse because sometimes I don’t know if they’re kids listening, you know, but you know what I’m saying, like, I know my things like, I know my strength. And I and I know what I bring to the table, I know, the vision that I can cast for other people’s businesses, I know that and I own that.
So Mama, if you decide that you’re going to open up a business, whatever business it is, all it is, you know, the difference between a business is going to be successful in a business that’s not going to be successful is the mindset of the business owner because you’re going to need to have a strong mindset and you’re going to, you know, whenever you come across a fork in the road or a little slip up, you know, that’s the moment no, because business is great, until business is going great but it’s when business starts like slowing down where things start happening, that we start to freak out. And those are the moments those like challenging moments, those are the moments that you know if you’re really are made for dessert or not, because if you’re like, okay, shut it down, we’re gonna quit like, we’re not made for this and you actually do it, then that’s it, you have quit. Now if you keep going, if you keep optimizing and looking for other ways in you just have the mindset of, okay, what happened? How could we make it better next time? What can we learn? You know, this happened for me, not to me, I’m not a victim in this I am in control here. And I know what can make this happen, so what can I learn? Now who can I hire? Who can I talk to? What book can I buy? What video? Can I watch your podcast? Can I listen to it? Who’s the coach that can help me through this right now?
Mama, you will persevere but honestly, it’s all in your mind. Your mindset is the strongest indicator of whether or not you’re going to make this happen. So let me share with you the things that I have been doing in the past. I don’t know how long to get myself to where I am today. So first and foremost, I have had a therapist for a hot minute now probably like close to five years, I’ve had a therapist. I do acupuncture regularly, every single week. I see an acupuncturist and this is a doctor of acupuncture, like she is the best one I have ever found. She asks me about what I eat, she asks me about, like how my week was and she takes my pulse and she looks at my tongue and all the things like she can look at me and she can know what’s wrong with me just by looking at me because you know, there’s like facial mapping and tongue mapping and just by looking at my face on my tongue she like she knows you know, so I’m doing that I taking care of myself and seeing an acupuncturist and like I said like she’s the best one I’ve seen many before.
And I will say there are people out there who have really awesome personalities and there are acupuncturists, but all they do is literally like needle you like just to kind of relax you or whatever but like this doctor that I found, she’s amazing. She’s there with you. She’s prescribing herbs and talking about diet with you and lifestyle and things like that. So she’s really truly museums so grateful for her. So if you are interested in looking for an acupuncturist, make sure that you do your research and that you find somebody that you’re in love with other things that I’m doing is tapping. I tap regularly. So if you don’t know, tapping is just Google EFT, and it’s called Emotional Freedom Technique EFT stands for and tapping has helped me because a huge part of the past few months for me has been me loving and accepting myself the way I am. It doesn’t mean that I’m not improving things but instead of me sitting here in shame and shaming myself and always talking now I myself, literally be my worst enemy of working on myself in EFT, I have to say has been great at that because you literally say I love and accept myself. It’s part of a medicine. It’s really truly amazing.
I have an app that I bought for 100 bucks, but it’s totally worth it. It’s called the tap, tapping solution to the Tapping Solution, something like that but you can find it in your app, I’m sure in your podcast, not podcast app, in your phone in your app thing, you know, just go and buy it, I highly recommend it. The next thing that I have been doing religiously is meditating. I meditate every single day and the Sam Harris app is pricey but again, if you’re committed, I highly recommend that you look at their route, do you have to pay for something expensive? You don’t but what I like about some Harry’s is that. Actually, let me say this, I don’t love it. And I don’t love it, because he teaches you like pure meditation. You know, there’s a lot of like meditation things out there, and apps and videos and things like that but there’s a whole lot of talking going on, and like things and like bells and whistles but with him. It’s not like that. It’s different. I can explain it because sometimes it’s very challenging. So sometimes meditation can, it turns out to be challenging, but know that I am making a challenge. It’s not because he’s trying it just is what it is.
So I’m just, you know, disclaimer, but yeah so I meditate. And I take care of myself. I recently joined the gym, I’m doing CrossFit, my husband and I got into fights about it, because I didn’t want to do it. And he said, I need to do it because I need to move my body and not because he is pushing me to lose weight. Like that’s not it at all. I mean, great shape, but just in general, you know, because your girl likes to walk. And that’s about it. And yeah, so now I joined a gym, I go there twice a week, I do go on walks. My goal to go every day doesn’t always happen but you have been hearing me say on this podcast, how taking care of myself has led to great successes in my business life. So, Mama, the takeaway from this episode, you know, I hope that you can understand that you need to take care of your mindset. And how do you take care of her mindset by taking care of view by believing in you by doing the work because being in business is like therapy, you know, all the things from your childhood that you had bottled up that you didn’t even know were bothering you are gonna come out, and they’re gonna challenge you. And yeah, it’s gonna be tough but if you have that mindset of, I got this, and I’m going to make it happen. And this is going to be easy for you guys to be easy for me, how can I make this easier because honestly, guys, I am an optimizer, like, for sure. I look at things, I look at problems, you have a problem, a girl comes to me because I have got a solution for you but you know, that’s just how my brain works. And that’s how I operate.
So, you know, Mama, work in your mindset, working on loving yourself and take care of yourself, and I promise you, your business is gonna grow, you know, and all the things that I laid out for you in this episode, they may not be the things for you, but they were the things for me, it’s just a matter of finding revives with you for years, I would chase you know, other people to see what they were doing. And you know, some people had their, you know, four in the morning, morning routines. And it didn’t work for me, like no, I wake up at five before I’ve done that, you know, here and there but ultimately, it’s not, I’m not cut out for that. What else I have, like just tried different things. And a lot of it didn’t vibe with me. It wasn’t until I started finding other women who I vibe with. And I started watching what they were doing. And then start implementing in my life that I started to see real growth. So look at your mentors, look at the people that you look up to and ask yourself, what are you doing, reach out and ask like, how do you take care of yourself and know that it’s possible for you to we don’t have to be martyrs you don’t have to be here, you know, this tired moms who can’t work on our business because they’re kids and they need to be home and they need to take care of the kids in the home and all that, like there’s a different way to get this stuff done.
And it’s possible in mama, just know this somewhere in the world, somewhere out there. There is a version of you, you know, whether you’re a mom with a baby and your husband is in the military has deployed, maybe you are, you know, a single mom with three babies, maybe I could whatever the situation is, just know that there’s a mom out there, like a version of you, who has made it, who has surpassed all the challenges and she made it happen and and for me understanding that just gave me a huge shift because whenever I’m down, I think about the version of me, you know, somewhere around the world, there is a Juliana who has a very similar life experience as I do. And she made it happen. And you know, that has worked for me too. Just thinking about that version of me out there that just did it like She’s on fire. So I really hope that this podcast episode was super enlightening for you and helpful and you know, Mama, it gets to be easy. You know, you get to call the shots and you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor, that’s why we’re the fruit for mamas because we make stuff happen. And it’s all like in our mind’s moment, the minute that you can control your mind, you’re going to make it happen because it’s not that hard.
It really is no, there’s strategy but honestly, I want to say that a business is 10% strategy and 90% your mindset, looking at things with a fresh set of eyes and like not, you know, getting all like victim mentality when something doesn’t go your way it’s persevering and moving forward and looking at situations and optimizing ask yourself what can be done better in like, just keep going and keep showing up. Mama, you’re capable, you’re strong, you can do her things. And until next time, may you be wrapped in peace, love and kindness and I will catch you in the next episode. Bye.
