Let’s rewind to May of 2020 when I first started my podcast. I was coaching women on how to have a kick-ass e-commerce store. I mean, I owned an Amazon store and an Etsy shop myself, and let me tell you, those babies were bringing in some serious cash. We’re talking six figures for Amazon and five figures for Etsy. I was passionate about sharing my knowledge on Etsy and Amazon, and my podcast episodes on these topics were on fire.
But around December 2021, I realized I had said everything I needed to say about Etsy and Amazon. My listeners had filled notebooks with all the knowledge bombs I dropped on them, and they were seeing amazing results. I mean, come on, how freaking cool is that? But I knew I wanted to do something more, and that’s when I started to take inventory of my life and skills. And that’s when the idea of podcast management hit me like a ton of bricks. I mean, I had built a successful podcast, and I knew the ins and outs of launching and managing one. It was a no-brainer!
So, I started taking on clients in January, and the business started growing by word of mouth. But, let me tell you, I wasn’t fully committed at first. I was afraid of making the pivot and falling flat on my face. I mean, my eCommerce coaching business was doing well, and I didn’t want to mess that up. But, despite my fear, my podcast management business was thriving. My clients were seeing amazing results, and I knew I had to go all in. And boy, oh boy, am I glad I did! As of October 12, 2022, my podcast management business has brought in a whopping $75,902.67 in sales this year alone. And I’m not sharing this to brag (okay, maybe a little), but to show you that it’s possible for you, too!
Look, I’m a homeschooling mom of two kids, and I’m the breadwinner for my family. If I can do it, so can you! The biggest thing for me was believing in myself. I know, I know, it sounds cliche, but it’s true! When I started podcasting, I just knew it was going to work. And when I pivoted to podcast management, I decided it was going to work, too. And you know what? It did! So, my advice to all you mamas out there is to believe in yourself, too. It’s the biggest hurdle you’ll have to overcome, but once you do, the sky’s the limit.

Now, I’m not going to leave you hanging without some resources. One book that really helped me with my money mindset was “You Are a Badass at Making Money” by Jen Sincero. And have you heard of EFT? It stands for emotional freedom technique, and it’s like tapping through different points in your body to help rewire your brain. It sounds a bit woo-woo, but trust me, it works!
And, of course, I invested in myself by hiring coaches and investing in my knowledge. And I’m happy to say that all that knowledge I’ve gained, I pass on to my clients to help them achieve success, too.
For those looking to start a new business, I recommend having a plan of action, promoting oneself, and investing in oneself. If you’re looking for some guidance on building your business or starting a podcast, I am available to be that coach for anyone looking to learn from someone who has successfully managed multiple businesses. Let’s make this happen!
