Gain clarity on your vision

The first step to creating a soul-aligned business is to get clear on what you want and don’t want. This will help you set a direction and start planning your business.  When I started my business, I knew I didn’t want to be glued to social media, and I wanted to be present for my kids. Although my initial vision wasn’t complete, I knew what I didn’t want. 

Today, I’m the sole breadwinner while my amazing husband takes care of our homeschooled kids. Living in sunny Florida, I now have the flexibility to hit the beach on a whim, all thanks to my early commitment to avoid the hustle. So, to kick off your journey, focus on what you truly want and don’t want, and let that guide your first steps.

Avoid the trap of feeling overwhelmed by trying out every strategy that comes your way. Instead, focus on what you truly desire and move in that direction.

Set boundaries

Next up, let’s talk about the importance of setting clear boundaries. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’ve struggled with boundaries, and it’s taken some time to improve. Without proper boundaries, you might find yourself sneaking a peek at your emails late at night when you should be resting, or glancing at your phone during precious family time. 

Establish clear boundaries for yourself to stay aligned with your vision. This will help you avoid burnout and stay true to your plan. If you slip up, remember to be compassionate and kind to yourself, and use it as a learning experience to reinforce your boundaries. So, establish those boundaries, be kind to yourself when you falter, and learn from those little “love taps” the universe sends your way.

Get visible

To grow your business, you need to be visible. People need to know what you do and how you can help them. In my case, I found success by starting a podcast, which allowed me to consistently share valuable content without the stress and pressure of social media. A podcast is an excellent option for those looking to grow their business with a soul-aligned approach.

When I started my podcast in May 2020, I had zero business and zero email lists. But, thanks to consistency and dedication, it’s grown phenomenally. What I love about podcasting is the lack of hustle—it’s just me, my thoughts, and my tea. No more stressing over Instagram captions or hashtags!

When you hand off tasks you don’t enjoy or shouldn’t be doing, it creates a “whitespace” for the magic to happen. This is when you become more connected, start downloading ideas, and get inspired by nature and the universe. So, give yourself the time and space to think big and level up your soul-aligned business.

Adapt and evolve

Understand that what worked yesterday might not work today. Give yourself permission to let go of strategies, clients, or situations that no longer serve you. Embrace change and evolve to reach the next level in your business.

Sometimes we outgrow strategies, clients, or other aspects of our business, and it’s okay to evolve, raise prices, or make other necessary changes. Embrace the process, even though it can be scary, as it allows you to expand and reach new heights.

Witnessing your journey and sharing your lessons is an exciting aspect of growth. As your business evolves into something magical, you’re able to inspire others by showcasing the possibilities and the magic that comes from aligning your business with your soul’s purpose.
